NorArch - Norwegian NEB chapter
NorArch combines "Nor" (Norway) and "Arch" (architecture and arching connections) to reflect our mission of driving sustainable, inclusive, and innovative transformation in Norway. It’s a clear, memorable name that aligns with NEB values while anchoring the chapter in a distinct Norwegian context.

Transformation From Vacant Offices to Housing
As a collaboration between Comte Bureau and Haavind have we recently gathered key players from Norway’s urban development ecosystem for an inspiring workshop where challenges and possible solutions for the city of Oslo were discussed.
The project is part of an innovation project funded by Design and Architecture Norway – DOGA through the Design-Driven Innovation Program (DIP). The project aims to identify obstacles to transforming commercial buildings into residential units, a challenge highly relevant in today’s real estate market. Read more about it in Estate
A big thank you to everyone who participated. We look forward to continuing this important work and contributing to a more sustainable and forward-looking urban development.

Affordable Housing Initiativ - pioneer
Affordable Housing – and How to Make It Happen in Norway!
Innoarch, in collaboration with Birk & Co AS, is part of the Affordable Housing Initiative Learning Programme, led by Housing Europe – the European Federation of Public, Cooperative and Social Housing – in partnership with SINTEF.
As part of the programme, we’ll be developing a pilot project in Drammen, testing innovative approaches to improve access to affordable and energy-efficient homes.
We’ll be learning alongside other local teams and housing experts from across Europe, sharing experiences and building new knowledge together. Things kick off with a first in-person session in Dublin, June 4–5, 2025, and we’re looking forward to getting started.
This is a great chance to connect what we’re doing in Norway with efforts across Europe—and to learn a lot in the process.
We’ll keep you posted as the project unfolds!
Feel free to reach out to Isabel Ruiz López if want to know more.
